Human activity is having an increasing impact on our natural environment, affecting not only wildlife but also our own health and well-being. By engaging children and young people with biodiversity as the custodians of the future, we stand a better chance of protecting what we have and enhancing it so that it can thrive for generations to come.
How to enter
You mission is to design a wildlife garden – your design can be created for anywhere you wish – your local community, your school, or home. It should be designed with wildlife in mind, considering the whole ecosystem: the habitats needed, and the food and water sources they rely on. Think about sustainability as part of your design – could you collect rainwater? What materials will you use?
It would be ideal if your garden were designed so that it could realistically be created within your chosen space.
Your design should be no bigger than A3, make it as bright, bold and colourful as you like. As an added extra, all the entries will be displayed at a special exhibition at The Peterborough Cathedral in Spring 2026.
Designs should be scanned and submitted to Hello@climateeudcation.co.uk before the 2nd April 2026. Please ensure that you keep the original artwork so we can arrange for this to be part of The Peterborough Cathedral display. aLL entries need to include the following information on submission –
