Citizen Science Days
Citizen Science is a hands-on programme which invites everyone not just experts, but young people, beginners and nature enthusiasts, to take part in meaningful scientific research. By surveying what’s growing and living on your school grounds and in your local area, students are actively contribute to protecting habitats and biodiversity.
Our structured, hands-on and easy-to-access sessions make it simple to gather high-quality data that feeds directly into national research efforts across the UK, whilst also linking into the National Curriculum. When completed throughout the year, these surveys help scientists track seasonal patterns, monitor species behaviour and identify areas needing additional support.
We offer both student workshops delivered directly to classes and training sessions for staff, enabling schools to embed Citizen Science into their wider curriculum.
With nearly 90% of species and habitat data coming from Citizen Scientists, your observations aren’t just valuable — they’re essential.
