Your one-stop green hub. Bringing sustainability to your school.

We all have a part to play in the change that is needed both as individuals and within our local communities. That is why schools have a vital role in shaping young minds about climate change and sustainability.

We’re not the only ones talking about change! The Department for Education has produced a road map providing schools with a Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy to address these issues and connect schools with climate action.

We know teachers are busy; so, we’ve combined our 25 years of experience working with schools into one flexible, easy-to-use platform: Climate Education to ensure that you feel supported in creating sustainable futures.

What is Climate Education?

Developed in consultation with teachers and educators, Climate Education guides schools through 5 key sustainability themes:

Zero Waste & Sustainable Living
Carbon & Climate Change
Our Natural Environment
Sustainable Travel
Local & Sustainable Food

By accessing our lesson plans, resources and activities we are saving teachers and educators time and effort in finding out about these key climate issues by hosting everything needed in one place.

Testimonials

It has been an extremely rewarding experience partnering with Climate Education to support our local schools in getting started on their sustainability journeys. I have been blown away by the students inspiring ideas, their dedication and incredible resilience in designing their school action plans and engaging their school communities in getting those plans put into action.
Schools and their students have a huge role to play in helping to create a greener, cleaner, fairer East Cambridgeshire and I am personally very excited to see what they do next.

The benefits that our children have experienced regarding climate change and the effects on the world around them simply would not have been possible without Climate Education - their support is invaluable!

Sarah GrangeEco Lead, St Augustine's CofE Junior

Just to say thank you for the fab training you delivered to our school staff - everyone was buzzing. It was exactly what we needed on our return and therefore the children will also gain the benefits of spending more time outside. Perfect!

Andrea JacksonDeputy Head, Northborough Primary

It was a really good opportunity to spend time 1 to 1 with my child. Sibling is Autistic and we don’t always manage to get activities as a family. It was fun to be outside and get time to learn things I wouldn’t have tried otherwise

Family EventParent Feedback

I just wanted to feedback to you following the training we attended. Both members of staff came back full of enthusiasm and raving about how good the training was. The resources that were provided were really useful, and we have already started planning ready for September.

Cambridge Childrens Centre

Thank you so much for all your time and effort this half term working with us all at Bar Hill. The children, pupil leaders and staff have all learned from the experiences and we have lots to take forward within our day to day teaching.

Benefits

Climate Education has been designed with flexibility at its core, allowing schools to choose what they do, how they do it, who is involved and when.

Our accreditation pathway doesn’t require a portfolio of evidence or a formal assessment – leaving teacher to do what they do best and teach!

This allows schools to be able to meet the specific needs of the school and its students, as well as the aims of the Department for Education and their 4 pillars. Climate Education’s 5 themes all link together and support core areas such as SMSC, British Values, Health & Well-being, Character Education, Health Education, and of course the SDG’s and The Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy.
